Mohamed Aziz Ben Amara is a Director of Photography, Colorist, and Videographer based in Tunis, Tunisia. He is also the founder and owner of MABA PRODUCTIONS & POST LTD, a UK-registered post-production house.
Aziz brings extensive experience to both production and post-production. He has worked on a wide range of projects utilizing industry-standard cinema cameras, advanced lighting setups, and specialized grip machinery, alongside advanced post-production software.
His passion for photography began at an early age, leading him to pursue a degree in cinematography and filmmaking at Tunisia’s premier film school, ISAMM (Higher Institute of Multimedia Arts of Manouba). During his studies, he was mentored by renowned DOPs Michel Baudour and Michel Houssiau. He also gained hands-on experience through agency internships and freelance work on professional sets, which gave him valuable insight into both creative direction and technical execution across the entire production pipeline.
After nearly five years as a full-time freelancer, Aziz earned the trust of producers, directors, marketing agencies, and global clients such as Ford, Jumia, Henkel, UNICEF, Accor, and the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs. For over a year now, he has served as the Director of Photography at Ykone Tunisia, the country’s leading digital agency.
